Crocodile Bank is situated at a distance of 40 km from Chennai, near Mahabalipuram. It is more of a sanctuary for the reptiles, which came into existence in 1976. It was founded by Romulus Whitaker and other like minded people to conserve the three species of reptiles namely, the Mugger - Crocodylus Paluster, the Gharial - Gavialis Gangeticus, and the saltwater Crocodile - Crocodylus Porosus. The bank extends over an area of 3.2 hectares and provides refuge to the different species of reptiles.Crocodile Bank started with a mere population of 30 crocodiles, which has now grown to 2400 reptiles, of varied species. One of the main attractions of the bank is the Crocodile Conservation Center. It is the largest breeding center of crocodiles in India and has bred thousands of crocodiles since its inception. Crocodile Bank consists of lush green flora, which makes it ideal for the habitation of reptiles, just like their natural habitat. Moreover, several African and Indian species of Crocodiles and alligators are kept in captivity here.The bank also has a Snake Farm, where anti-venom is produced. The venom extraction process is a great fascination for the visitors. In addition, Crocodile Bank also conducts research on the biology of crocodiles, turtles and monitors lizards. Today, the bank houses 12 endangered species of turtles and 5 species of snakes, including King Cobra. Though these animals are confined within its boundaries of, they enjoy the environment just like their wild and natural abode. At Crocodile Bank, visitors view the animals closely and experience the wildlife at its best.

paid every other month? Or do you
expect to be paid twice a month?

person to draft, while others may
require the help of a lawyer.
Advertising
If your advertisement is deceptive,
you’ll face legal problems even
if you had the best intentions
while framing it. In addition, if
your advertisement contains a
false statement, you have already
violated the law. The fact that you
didn’t know ‘the information was
false’ is irrelevant. Advertisements
should conform to laws and
should not go against morality,
decency and the religious
susceptibilities of people.
